The harvest ends, fermentation continues, and we finally take the time to give you a first feeling of this 2023 vintage, once again quite atypical.
No real mid-season this year, either very hot like in June and July and regularly since August 20, or very cool like at the beginning of spring and the beginning of August, with expected and saving rains at this time.
The grapes flourished in these conditions, the harvest is generous overall, with healthy and fruity grapes.
The hot weather worried us about the acidity, but the musts remain well balanced and fermentations continue without a hitch.
This first organic vintage therefore looks promising, and we should particularly appreciate the Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer vintages.
